BARACK OBAMA AND THE 'WHERE'S WALDO' PRESIDENCY

You can always tell when someone is over their head in their job or just plain incompetent, because whenever the "you know what hits the fan" these type of people are nowhere to be found. They take a couple of days off, go on vacation or tell you that they are just too busy to get involved. We call these people "empty suits" because there's nothing inside. It's all image and marketing. While the unconstitutional Super Committee apparently has admitted defeat, where is our president? We are being told that failure to reach an agreement on next year's budget will have very serious consequences not only for the American people, but for the world economy as well. This crisis demands Presidential leadership

But, where's Waldo, I mean Barack Obama?

It might come as a surprise to you, or maybe not, that Mr. Obama and his family have just finished another vacation, this time in Hawaii (or was it Asia?) Yes, I know he just returned from another vacation on Cape Cod, but it seems that our president is willing to do almost anything or go anywhere, to avoid making decisions. Rather than getting involved in actually making important national decisions, he travels around the world making speeches, posing for photo ops and generally campaigning for the 2012 election.

For the first three years of his term, President Obama has consistently avoided taking any specific position or stepping up early and providing leadership on the issue of fiscal responsibility or any other issue. He even walked away from his own presidential commission, the one led by former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) and former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles, when he found its report filled with unpopular choices that might effect his reelection.

Now at a time when presidential leadership is sorely needed to push this critical super committee to do something dramatic and substantial to bring the nation’s fiscal house back into order, the president once again disappears. It causes one to wonder, why and:

Where's Waldo, I mean Barack Obama?

The general consensus is that neither he, nor the incompetent White House staff and advisors around him, feel there is any positive public relations position in Mr. Obama stepping up as a leader and making some difficult decisions that might straighten out our nation’s fiscal future. How could he hammer the Republicans in the next election if some problems are actually solved?

Mr. Obama is apparently too busy traveling around the world and the country to get involved.

As Newt Gingrich recently said:

"As an American I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, because America gave him the White House based on the same credentials."

How in the world did the American people elect a person who we know nothing about; who never had a real job; who associated with marxists and communists for most of his life; who may or may not be a natural born citizen; who was a do-nothing US and State Senator; whose entire background has been sealed and who, by his own actions, is obviously incompetent, unqualified and/or totally unprepared for the duties and responsilities of Presidency?

No matter how Mr. Obama managed to get elected to the Presidency, the fact remains that the American people are suffering and will continue to suffer because of it.
